The Grifols Academy of Plasmapheresis is located near Phoenix in Glendale, AZ (US). It is a state-of-the-art campus attached to a fully functioning donor center which allows for the direct observation and application of practices performed in a real-world environment.

The Academy offers a practical approach to learning in various diciplines including quality, medicine, operations and leadership. Courses are administered by experienced professors from Grifols companies, third-party experts, and guest lecturers from the industry or academia. Training program standards are designed to allow participants to achieve a consistent, high level of proficiency. Customized professional coursework, seminars, and intellectually challenging group discussions promote innovation and educational concepts.

Training activities are developed in several phases, starting with continuing education programs for new employees. All programs are continually reviewed by the Academy Board and updated to remain current with the latest industry standards, enabling us to maintain the highest quality standards within the organization.

The core courses for management, quality, operations and medical areas have a minimum of one 16-hour session each during a three-day intensive module. Some courses require more than one session to achieve certification. Other specific seminars (e.g., Biostatistics) vary in length depending on the program content.

Learning methodologies employed by the Academy include multi-media presentations facilitated by experienced training professionals, field training, webinars, and e-Learning modules through the Grifols campus and other interactive websites.

Traditional college career paths will also be available in agreement with accredited institutions for approved educational programs allowing advanced certifications to be pursued in the future.

The campus is also open to host meetings, seminars, presentations, and conferences by Grifols' companies and others in the industry.
